This Love. Poem by Charles M Moore

This Love.

Rating: 5.0

Where to now sweet mystery
that haunts compells and beckons me
and stirs my every waking hour
with hope abandoned

Mortal I to scenes of you
in the realms of dreams with you
with fear I may awake from you
and find you gone

Taste and scent I take them in
touching all that is of them
surrounded by the air of them
the water sweet

Growing in the heart I see
being every part of me
you and I were meant to be
and so this love.

Thoroughly lyrical and touchingly beautiful - can't understand why your loyal poetic fans haven't whispered such to you! Rgds, Ivan
