This Is My Way Poem by Alan Bruce Thompson

This Is My Way

The road is built only for me in my flashy sporty car,
These vans, buses, and lorries are too close not far.

No room for bikes, push chairs, skaters, or walkers on feet,
Why are they trespassing on my private street?

When I'm on my bike its a bike path only for me,
Skaters, mothers and others must flee.

When I want to walk and to extend my stride,
How dare those bikers and skaters near me ride.

Now they have built a red stripe just for me to stay,
What is this tramway doing here on my private way?
