This is how it should be
this is how we should be
a boy and a girl
her in love with you but wouldn't tell you
like a little boy
and a little girl
running and playing
under the March sky
the blue and green and red of the metal
like firecrackers
laughing and
screaming and tackling people
cops and robbers
or just
'choke lucas to death'
it should be this way
us laughing and
talking
and it can be that way
it can be that way
because i can be brave
it should be that way.
