This Girl Jumped Poem by Vera Sidhwa

This Girl Jumped

This girl I knew,
She loved to jump,
All around the block,
And then some.

She then liked to skip,
And skip and skip,
With her skipping rope,
All day and night.

And there never came a moment,
She stopped jumping and skipping.

This girld liked to walk backwards,
On her nearby sidewalk.
And strangers she would bump into,
Would about this girl talk.

It came to be one day,
The girl grew up.
Yet she really did not.
So this young lady now.

Jumps, skips ropes and walks backwards on her sidewalk.
