This Cat Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

This Cat

This Cat

Once again in the chirp-place inspired.

This time cat
(Long hair on shoulders. Wears blue-lazuli, striped on
shoulders, arms, torso with writing’s black-ink)
Special are her eyes, magnetic, and green.
Seawater of corals and islands lost in sea
Greenish magnet-eyed, seawater…?
Well this is.
And Devil
And Satan
Hypnotize

Wears frame on her face
Top aligned with eyebrows
Bottom hiding the cheeks
(Her cheeks are flat)
Cleopatra-like she is
Eyes’ Corners alike
Oh!
This cat
A table apart
In front

Yet planted in me
In canal of my eye
