Thirty Nine Poem by The runner who hides

Thirty Nine

Thirty Nine 4-12-08
Who knew you wouldn’t live to see thirty nine
I thought there was all the time in the world to make things right
But you didn’t live to see thirty nine

Who knew you wouldn’t be able to have a melt down at thirty nine
For fear of getting old
Fear of being Alone

I thought you’d die old
But you died not yet thirty nine
I thought you’d be wrinkly
But you died young
Your life cut short
Not yet thirty nine

How did it comes to this?
Me being so mad and angry
Bitterness and being mean usually comes with age
I became mean before my time

How did it come to this?
This empty place inside
Mean and Motherless
You didn’t live to see thirty nine

Thirty eight could have been the age
2008 could have been the year
For us to have each other
But you didn’t live to see thirty nine
The year to change our relationship and Make things Right
But you died Not yet thirty nine.
