Thirst Quenching Rain Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

Thirst Quenching Rain

Oh the green grass and the smell of rain
As it pours down the heated ground!
A sense of release of some earthly pain,
As a cooling comfort then surrounds.

Earth drinks the water-drops from the sky,
Quenching the thirst of a parched dried land.
And flowers bloom soon, happy the butterfly-
As nature is refreshed, trees hand in hand.
