Thirst Poem by Valsa George

Thirst

Rating: 5.0

The sound of jingling cow bells
The lilts of heavenly music from a flute
An exotic fragrance in the air
Here I stand, Enticed
By the tune of your reed
My eyes searching yearningly
For a glimpse

Where is he?
Where is my heart’s love?
The blue bodied one
I cry “Oh, bring him to me”

In answer
The breeze whispers in my ear
“The one whom you seek is near”

I look around
But vast empty spaces envelop me
I close my eyes
Withdraw into the caverns of silence
Now I see his dusky form
Aflame within my inmost being

Like a serpent at the charmer’s strains
Let me now uncoil in rhythmic dance!

Radha and Krishna poems - no matter how many lines you write seem so few. Brindhavan is where i was when i read such beautiful lines. It is from pure Love, such untouched love can flow.
