Thinking About Thinking Poem by Ashley Dowdy (Forbus)

Thinking About Thinking

I ask this: Do you find yourself thinking about thinking?
Reflexing instead of interacting?
Are you trapt within yourself more than applying yourself to the outside world?
NO? Oh, me neither...
Truth be told, I am not sold
Not by you
I stay true
I may be indecisive
I may be frustratingly abnormal
A little supernatural at times
okey, at most times
Yes, I am a captive
The captor?
indeed, it is myself
I am always within myself
You may not get me
Hell, I don't get me
However, I am free
Free to be Me.
Free roam abundantly
Alone with my thoughts
It is where I like to be
Dwelling in my thinking
Lost in my own space
at my own pace
Tell me.
Do you think about thinking?
