So surreal, it blankets the mind like a thick fog.
That question asked after all the answers have been given.
Poised to engulf, like a wild flame shadow of the sun.
Creeping in and taking over and over and over
Now like all things it to will pass, only to come back again
Unable to be ignored, and powerless to fully comprehend
A single split instant of a moment
Like a hasty last breath and forgotten
Unlike a hug….a first tryst….a last kiss.
This savored moment brief and limitless
Marked with forever - today I would not miss.
