Things Or Life



She says they ought to change the tiles
in kitchen, hall and bathroom,
or that the sofa's getting old
and needs replacing soon.

He says they shouldn't spend their cash
on THINGS, but on enjoying LIFE:
explore the world with no-frills flights,
a backpack and a penknife!

She likes a pretty, cosy nest;
he has a restless need to fly.
Neither of them gets their way,
but now and then they try...
