They Give Us Pleasure Poem by Kesav Venkat Easwaran

They Give Us Pleasure

They give us pleasure, they give us life
Demand a lot of attention live
But many a time they give us pains
Never behave the way we like

A lot we love them, value them high
Importance on them we always place
But fail to judge the way they sail
The stocks, we hold, are like our wives!

a good build-up of anticipation - and then, presto! - a surprise comparison.... well-done; excellent humor - though I hope, for your sake, your spouse thinks so too...
