They Dont Need Me Poem by Ankoku Gekido

They Dont Need Me

I watch as they are happy
I watch as they laugh and have fun
I watch my friends be happy and realize
They don't need me
All I do is hold them back
All I do is worry them with my petty problems
With my petty needs
They don't need me
To be happy
To have fun and laugh
To love
All I do is take up space
Space that could be used by someone useful
All I do is breath air that could help them breath and be their best
All I am is a waste of time, space, and air
A waste of a human that could have been made useful to these people I love
So why do I continue living this life?
Why do I torment myself everyday?
Why do I stay and waste peoples time and space?
Why do I not end it all
It would not matter
No one would care
They would just find someone new to take up the empty space
To use the extra air
To take up the extra time
Just another missing face to the world
What would it matter?
