They Abandoned Me Poem by Obed dela Cruz

They Abandoned Me

Rating: 5.0

These worries have covered me.
But later, they abandoned me.
I can live without these worries
Because I go beyond my boundaries.

At first, I possessed pain
But later, pain was slain.
I am very happy
That pain abandoned me.

These deceiving lies
Thought that they will block my eyes.
But because I can see the light,
Lies left me because I am right.

I consider no loss
Because I can see the cause.
These sufferings should leave me
Because they should never be with me.

Darkness first thought that I’ll sip
Their juicy words but I’m not cheap.
In my heart, I have Jesus Christ
That’s why deception won’t last!

Truth kept on walking
To catch the words while I’m talking.
Well, lies have no say
That’s why they can’t stay.

Foolishness abandoned me for good
Because that is a should.
I will never cower
Before the dark master.

My sword is God’s Word
Because Jesus is truly Lord!
No harm, death, and vanity
Can ever touch me and my family.

Yes, problems should go away
Because they can never stay.
I don’t need doubts in my life
Because I have faith in Jesus Christ.

Evil abandoned me
And I’ll ever who I should be!
