They Poem by abu tarek md tahsin

They

Rating: 5.0

They
Met on a hazy noon
Many a sunshine ago
Bonds made over the years
Many a moonrise ago

The tide of life
Had slowly run
Away between them.

She would return
No matter
How far,
As their hearts were,
But one.

He waits by the street light
Upon the deserted road
And all through the frosty night.

He waits
By the empty sea
By day and by night.

He waits by the cloudless summer
And shivers under the cold September rain.

And still she keeps him await.
Until he is old and grey
And silently passes away.

To be where,
She has waited
All through his days.
