These Words Poem by Ivory Strife

These Words

These words have been on my mind all day,
these words I just cannot say.
These words stuck inside my head,
will forever go unsaid.
What am I supposed to do?
When I'm sitting here wishing he was you?
These words I should have said,
I'll take to my death bed.
These words that I write,
will be forgotten by tonight.
If I make up the things I lack,
would you take me back?
These words you need to hear,
I fear these words you'll never hear.
These words that are carved inside my heart,
are slowly tearing me apart.
One day I will be able to say,
these words I can't today.
Until then, every now and then,
I'll write these words down,
somewhere where they can't be found.
These words I'm about to say,
Will set your whole heart astray.
Before this all comes unglued,
just let me say I love you.
