There They Are Poem by Marijke McKinney

There They Are

I see them all walking down the streets
Crossing their fingers to find something new
Maybe we’ll find a reason on why we belong
Find out if this place is even true

They’re searching for homes that don’t exist
There they are and here I am
A concept I will never understand
Cause baby I don’t even know where I am

I’ll walk so far
To find I’m in a place just filled with people
