There Is Another Form Poem by Keenan Lawler

There Is Another Form

there is another form
in the field
split-minded
man & moon
pulled down
among branches
eaten by the gradual
band
pal pi ta ting
white
strives to join
radiated
red

shifted
activity each second -
a different star
coursing chromatic
black perfect
descent leaving
arched
scars
the eyes deep
wells with water - guardians of
reflections & panoplies
concentric
mandalas of color
signals & waves toward
the burning
dome where they disperse.

any light
among these
thistles?
wind cold
as a hand
cups the flower
bending
direction
haunted
song
ligature
of laughter
living piston
filled
echoes beyond
