There Is A Sudden Silence Poem by Gert Strydom

There Is A Sudden Silence

In the distance the thunder rumbles,
the smell of rain falling on the earth
is in the air
and suddenly there is silence
that is only broken by a croaking frog
when softly your hand rests on my shoulder
and like always
there is magic in your touch.
