There Is A Place Poem by Hal Caufield

There Is A Place

There is a place in the recesses of my heart
Where I have stored all of my dearest memories.
Beyond the joys of childhood,
Beyond the pleasures of manhood,
Beyond the blossoming buds of spring,
Beyond the warm sun of summer,
Beyond the swirling leaves of autumn,
Beyond the first white snow of winter,
There is a place in my heart
Where come what may,
Whether time is friend or foe,
She will always stay.
