Theory Poem by Nathan Coppedge

Theory

Rating: 4.3

To humans, things fall in pairs
This supplies an order to the world
Supplanting what we most desired
Supplanting God’s symmetrical absurd

To wonder at what has yet to fall
The air is full of miracles
We breathe, and light and dark are twined
This snaky truth imputes the human mind

To live to wake from matter and decay!
Its reason lives in matter though
Until I know the reason why
I live no other way.

Matter and decay are here to stay but YOU will fly away away to where you'll get prepared to come play another day
