Then There Were None Poem by Connor Brown

Then There Were None

Though it be
That life be short
In the eyes of history
In the eyes of the human race
It be long
Prosperous
Inspiring
Which one is correct?

History is incorruptible
From truth
And we live knowing
That at any moment
our long
prosperous
inspiring
could end

The human race be stagnant
persistent
We all end
But as we focus
On the moment comforts
That protect what we want now
Not the things that
Made us
Will end us
