Then Jesus Came To Save Poem by Garrett Westcott

Then Jesus Came To Save

Rating: 4.5

Loaded down by misery
I forgot I was alive
The enemy was upon me
It's a wonder I survived

I hoped loneliness would end me
And send me to my grave
I cried to God for mercy
Then Jesus came to save

I confessed I was a sinner
That my life was dark and lost
Rebellion is as old as Adam
And death is what it cost

Salvation is what I needed
Faith has set me free
Belief in the One and Only
Who died upon the tree

Jesus is my Savior
My life is in His hands
At the end of this solemn journey
Before Him I will stand

good to read Christian poetry. I believed that the Holy Spirit has confirmed my decision about submitting Christ inspired poetry on Poem Hunters. Terrance Tracy
