The Zoo Poem by Susan Sparks

The Zoo

Want to have some fun? ...
Then make a run
To the zoo.
Yipperoo!

Lions, tigers and bears
Ha Ha.
Monkeys, dogs, and tapirs.
Hee Hee, Ha Ha.

Parrots, macaws
And many things with claws.
Let's go to the zoo...
Be prepared.

Giraffes, buffalo calfs,
Hippos and deer too.
Zebras, you'd better believe
And lots of cheetahs too.

Let's go to the zoo
To see the kangeroos
Maybe ride the camels
And look at the rhinos too.

What a way
To have some fun.
Let's take a trip...
To the zoo!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I wrote this poem a long time ago before I knew anything about writing poetry. I still feel the same way about going to the zoo. It's fun for all ages!
