The Yellow Brick Road

The yellow brick road’s behind me
Life’s fable bubble burst
The living Truth has set me free
Of all which had me cursed

The bible makes it crystal clear
Though many find it strange
That while in sin and while still here
Our lives have need of change

God’s Truth is waiting in the air
He’s close and standing by
He’ll come inside through humble prayer
And teach our souls to fly

It’s neither myth nor fairy tale
Yet written for each child
Who’s lost, who’s failed chained up in jail
That they be reconciled

The bible tells we’ve fallen short
We’ve failed what’s true and right
But reading Jesus’ true report
He’ll make our darkness Light

God’s book of life is written now
The past and future’s one
But still today if yet we bow
Life’s crown may still be won

So come right now and take a look
Allow your heart to see
Believe what’s written in The Book
And set your soul here free

He’s coming soon He’s on His way
Of this, there is no doubt
Best turn to Christ, God’s Son today
Before your time runs out
