The Worst In Me Poem by Radhika Karia

The Worst In Me

Rating: 4.5

You bring out the worst in me,
You bring out my heart and smile,
So deep inside my veins you stay a while,
Well, you bring out the worst in me.

I have tried so hard, tried not to be,
I resist the warm kiss of your skin,
But why should I resist, why can't we win,
You somehow bring out the worst in me.

A voice in my head, a mumble in my ear,
'It's too soon, its only been a year,
Use your head and let ur foolish heart be',
I can't help it, you bring out the worst in me.

The feeling of helpless, the loving kind of burn,
I will wait eternity for it to be my turn,
A toss of a pebble, that's all it is in the sea,
Can't you see...you bring out the worst in me.

I resist, the charm of your eyes on me,
I resist your not so often felt lips,
A broken star, that's how my heart rips,
You know, I resist..when you bring out the worst in me.

You bring out the worst kind in me,
You bring out my monsters from the dead,
You know you are messing with my head,
God only knows, how you bring out the worst in me.

I like the way this ebbs and flows. The sentiments of what love can bring is well obsevered.
