The World Unified: Just A Thought(2009) Poem by Lillian B. Rose

The World Unified: Just A Thought(2009)

Rating: 5.0

When we are getting to know people
If we concentrate too heavy on our differences
we divide and criticize each other
slandering one another because of our uniqueness
Not truly open-minded about our similarities
the biggest being life, being born to humanity

we come in different shades: but there is one race
there are many cultures but one race
there are 4 orientations but one race
there are 2 to 3 biological genders but one race
weight and height vary but there is still one race
there are six to twelve main world religions but one race
there are 7 continents divided into countries and regions
but there is one race
a lifespan can be a long time or a dropp in the bucket
but there is one race
eye color and hair color can be altered but there is one race
hair varies in length and texture but there is only one race
handicaps can be physical, emotional, or spiritual
but there is still one race

so the next time you think you are perfect
the world, the home of the imperfect
is one family: the human race
It's time for the world to say: Enough!
and bring back our peace.
