The World Of Epilepsy Poem by Nitya Pillai

The World Of Epilepsy

Rating: 3.0

The world of Epilepsy...Dark and deep...Exhaustively wide and like an explosive's mine...
broken, potholed, twisted, intertwined roads... by lanes and crevasses all in the mind...

Most often there are clue's...its all in the eyes...just looks- Of confusion, scattered thoughts and perhaps some strange stray moments
....they may come, may go and sometimes, may just stay...in many a glances and spaced out moments & phases

A 10 year spate that went by free and smooth...a moment of an eclipse that made me loose my tooth! (I'm serious! !)

Alive, so much sound, my hands and legs were all around
Alive, so much sound, there was tension booming loud
Alive, yet so still...soaked in blood i lay there sound.....

An attack that attacked though I don't really have memories of what happened
But let me share it with you'll, as I have heard it from others-
A fall from the bed as the 1st myoclonic attack happened when I was all alone...results—a bitten off lip, bruised shoulder, knees & cheek! The icing on the cake was my 2 broken teeth!
A 2nd attack that happened in front of my unknown saviours…of course that freaked them out and a 3rd attack once admitted in emergency, when all my loved ones were around…

As I sit and write even today, and on a stable road of recovery
However, can't deny, the numerous fears that now loom my mind and seem a part of my soul…somehow just can't forget to try my effort of remembering all
