The World Has Become Increasingly Virtual

Rating: 5.0

The world has become increasingly virtual
Direct contact with one's feelings
One's sense of touch and sight
As a vital part of existence
Has diminished

Our prevalence for violence
When roused
Make no mistake
Is no less than theirs
They also hold the quality
Of reverence long lost
In our society

Civilization is wrapped in plastic
Ready for immediate consumption
So rare in our pampered ways of life
An awareness of nature
An immediate generosity
A continuation of basic principles
And natural contact with their emotions

This is the result of our going for a fast life in every field of activities.  Time has changed making the man a machine.

This is 'spot on' Ahmad. Values have changed with the advance of technology and man's greed to have everything 'hot of the press of technology'. People don't have time to think of values. Excellent and perceptive. 10 love Karin
