The Winter Of Forever Poem by Cee Bea

The Winter Of Forever

It was the winter of forever
so somber and forlorn
the church bells soon fell silent
as they open up their doors

the breath of life once known
now absent from this one
and begins a new life journey
for this soul's it has begun

The tears we leave are many
as we grieve for our own loss
thinking we'll forever miss
a smile we have lost

The angels came so gently
to awake him from this rest
they carry him to heaven
held tight against their breast

The gates once more were opened
to allow this kind soul in
as one of Gods own children
forgiven of all sin

So many long passed,
came forth in this event
they also had long waited
for this soul to them be sent

Though his voice was silent
he cried his own last tears
this journey was of white light
and void of any fear

As He looked upon then
He felt the grief within their heart's
wanting so to tell them
that it was time for them to part

For the longing's for him, in heaven
from past loves that now are there
were stronger than our sorrow
he was now in Angelic care

They saw pain, knew it was time
he knew that it was to
so like angel's gone before him
to heaven's birth he flew.
