The Winter In Me Poem by Rajendra padhi

The Winter In Me

THE WINTER IN ME…….

I wander with white hair shadowy like trees
The rain is blown off releases winter at eve,
The thoughts I held gently swell in the wind
I put my palms on my face chilled in feelings,
The solitude tempts the stars to glow sad
Like a crane on a weedy pond left hungry,
Writhe me sadder than ever in infinite pain
Gnawed in sickness of a time so old and cold.

I know how to summon up ideas from zero
How powerful is sorrow weave out thoughts
Precious like diamond from the dark coal,
I bend like the breeze again and again
To travel far through unhappy moments,
Return with the spring melting the snow
Perfume the garden flower the buds,
No voice fills me when I repose alone
Split into fragments I recollect me again
Return to shore as waves in joyous roar,
Loneliest I sigh like a bird in snowy nest
My song breaks the morn of foggy-veil.
