The Winners World! Poem by Koena Mokoena

I belong in the world of winners, /
And not the losers. /
Sometimes when things don't go my way i feel like giving up, /
I hate losers. /
Instead of supporting me they blame me. /
AND THAT IS PAINFUL, SHAMEFUL BUT THEY CAN'T COZ I'M CAREFUL. /
And that's the reason why i wrote this poem coz they want
to turn my life into a nightmare. /
And that is not fair. /
I am proud of who i am but they don't care. /
I believe that anything happens for a reason and it has a purpose. /
Their aim is to pull me down as i'm flying high coz i have a dream. /
They don't have the guts to face me. /
And so they spread bad rumours about me. /
Because it hurts to see somebody's life in progress. /
I'm talking from experience. /
You wish like you could stop that person from achieving coz you can't. /
Hence, it hurts coz at the end you'll end up being the loser. /
Remember! beggars can't be choosers. /
It's hard in the world of winners and so i'd rather hang around with losers. / So, that i can discriminate those who have an aim in life. /
Because it's easy to discriminate rather than to appreciate. /
I'm talking from experience. /

Sorry to say this but it's just the way i am. /
No matter what happens as long as i survive i will fight for my dream. /
Because, i believe i have what it takes to achieve it no matter the situation. /
