The winds of change
sometime blow suddenly
through our lives,
hurricane-force gales
rip apart the foundation
we have forged,
forcing us to regroup, rethink,
and rebuild - block by heavy block;
other times, gentle breezes nudge us
in one direction or another.
Our lives follow the invisible flow
of these forces of nature -
some time is rough going,
while other time is smooth sailing.
The winds of change will always
be a constant in our lives.
