The Window Poem by subhashini subra

The Window

Rating: 4.0

As i child i used to sit all day by the window

the long window in my uncles house

my small legs dangling out

my small hands holding the grill tight

Through the window i saw life zooming

The bikes and the tram went booming

The birds flying above in height

Listening to their chatter with delight

The hawkers pushing thier cart

screaming their throat out

Parents with kid walking them to school

and in evening they raced to the nearby pool
The tea stall down always full

With samosa and chai so cool

The time flew so fast
just gazing till the day last

Years later the window still there

But life around has changed
