The Willing And Unwilling Promise Poem by sandy kulchyski

The Willing And Unwilling Promise

I will not care
I will not cry
In front of people
Or for others
Until they care for me
Until they cry for me.

I will not a life
Until someone
Loves me or the girl
Inside of me.

I am a lost girl
Until I fine my place
On this world
I am lost
Until I find
My home
My sanctuary

This is my
Promise to the world
To everyone who
Is willing to listen

I am nothing
Until someone loves
Me for me
Who’s willing to put his
Life on the line for me
And I’m willing to do the same.

Until he comes
And feels like home
I will walk this world
Alone and unhappy.

Until then
This is what
I promise
This willing
And unwilling
Promise to
The world
And everyone in it
