The Whole Story Poem by Joshua Bantum

The Whole Story

With beauty I am bound
but by passion
I am torn,

I am barely surviving
while one gives me strength
thee other pulls and yearns

This is natural I've been told
by my close friend
a bi sexual who said

'By the moons elegance
I'm soothed to rest basked in beauty
Then the sun rises above my skin
and I'm torn from sleep
but it excites me thoroughly

This is the way of bi polar lovers
neither is wrong

and remember, you fit a role yourself for both of them'

'Which are you for both, the moon and sun,
passion or beauty? '

She responded with a whisper

'I am the Earth
pure beauty is my form
and both bulbs in the sky know it so
that is why they turn on to see me
lie
always naked waiting for their eyes...'

I fall awake
by her breath threading through my hair
and tears of solace failing from her sky

She is wise
but tortured still

For by beauty we are ound
and by passion we are torn.
