The White Ship (52) Poem by David McLansky

The White Ship (52)

(52) Objection

“You’re asking me to take a wife
Upon my hearts conviction;
I know little of your daily life
To base such a prediction.”

And to gamble on such speculation
As the risky heart’s report,
It goes against my education
And all I’ve learned in Court! ”
