The Wedding Ring Poem by Robert Edgar Burns

The Wedding Ring

With this ring I thee wed,
My heart and soul
To keep yours fed.
To meet what needs
That I can meet.
And know you'll always
Be my sweet.

And today forever
My heart's your house.
I'm proud this day
To become your spouse!
I hope that before,
This life is done.
When they talk of us,
We are mentioned as one!

Without a beginning
There can be no end.
Eternity is what lies
Just around the bend.
When you blessed me
And became my wife,
The rings we exchanged
Now signify new life!
