The Way We Slept Poem by Thomas Plotz

The Way We Slept

Head down,
Stand at almost the utmost,
End of the room

You have your arms folded, the way I sleep…
All my dreams and knowledge you keep

Kindness kisses, crying cares
You know all my love, my sin, my stares

Gazing glares, glowers gawks
My eyes talk and you're able to read my emotions

You have your arms folded, the way we slept
I on my side and you on yours, arms locked and held close

Whispering, breathing in unison, in harmony,
Till we drifted off to sleep,

Now I still whisper to my forever loves
Dreaming of you, in the dark

Breathing in unison, in harmony,
Till we drifted off to sleep, still missing you…

This is so beautiful. Very expressive, the way it paints the picture so clearly. I enjoyed reading it. Sweet Dreams.
