The Way I See It Now Poem by Buxton Shippy

The Way I See It Now

Dancing
Dancing
Lucifer celebrates,
In the precious blood
Of the saints.
Finely dressed, in bright lights,
He and his generals unite
Around a single plan:
Deter the return of Messiah.

Doctrines
Differing doctrines
Cutting the Body to pieces;
More denominations than water.
En masse without fire
Without power.

Some preachers entertain
Instead of feeding manna.
Some are even intoxicated
With the devil's bread.
Make me wonder:
Would Christ be a member
Of His own Church?

Before you say 'ha, see,
They only want my money?
Just remember,
This is Family Talk.
