The Way I Feel 2 Poem by Walter Burlock

I feel numb all over.
All I can feel is my heart beating.
Skipping a beat every time.
My Body is getting tired.

My mind is getting weak.
I can't think.
All I can think about, is her.
Her brown eyes, her brown hair.

Her smile, it lights up the world.
It gets me feeling strong again.
My mind is awake.
I don't no what it is.

She is my light.
My world.
I can see everything that was in darkness.
She makes me strong in my darkest hours.

But when she leaves.
The darkness returns.
When I see her the darkness fades.
It happens over and over again.
Every day I look in the same place.
Fearing that I won't see her there.
Every time I see her face it brings me relief.
I feel numb all over.
