The War Of Humanity Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

The War Of Humanity

Rating: 4.0

Humans shallow ignorance doesn't allow them to see
beyond the color of ones skin
understandably, people operate on fear,
which is where it begins
Committing acts of violence that's blatantly
wrong to be unfair and so unkind
Hate paralyzes the mind, Love stimulates the heart.
Hate confuses the soul, love enlightens it.
Hate darkens the mood. Love brightens it.

Some people carry pride in their actions
Not acknowledging the communities dissatisfaction
Some feel superior and this would only illustrate
A motive to continue such cruelty to discriminate

Some people are judged by their race
Lack of being on one accord is a disgrace
The enemies actions is deliberate, dishonest and contrived
for the hate humanity is faced is still very much alive

The world itself is full of bigotry
where, Unfortunately, it's allowed to roam free
there's no justice for all, if justice is one-sided
There is no equality, if we all remain divided

It's been awhile since the days we saw men in chains
lets observe the world not with blind eyes
it's for certain some things have changed
Don't underestimate these times it's the devil in disguise

As it is said sheer ignorance is bliss
Humanity can't have peace between races, we're at war
As the world around us sinks into the abyss
humanity is challenged with a battle of its own horror
