The War Inside Poem by Rhonda Baker

The War Inside

Rating: 4.5

There’s sadness within side of me
It’s been there awhile, I can’t break free
Things in my past I’ve put away
Come back time after time and day after day
There’s times when I’ve seemed to have broke free
But if I slow down there back next to me
I’ve always thought of myself as a 13-year-old girl
Some how making my way through this great big world
There’s a lot of hard work and tons to be done
I can never just let go and have some fun
What would the world think of me?
If I couldn’t be all that I can be!
