The Wall Of Pride Poem by Sheldon Moore

The Wall Of Pride

Rating: 5.0

I'm willing to learn
and longing to see
wanting to hear
what's inside of me

Youth needn't be imprudent
nor is old always so wise
It’s what we learn now
that's what I surmise

Mistakes to linger
deep in our mind
how we sort them
might make us blind

Fools we can truly be
when pride makes us fall
but not if we look inside
and break down that wall

Pride goes before fall. A well articulated poem penned with insight. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
