The Waiting Game Poem by Hannah Davies

The Waiting Game

The Waiting Game
Is all too familiar to me
Got to wait your turn
Just have to wait and see.

The Waiting Game
I have played all my life
What mood will they be in?
Will I survive?

The Waiting Game
Is all I have know
WIll they notice me?
WIll real love ever be shown?

The Waiting Game
I didn't even want to play
But I was a child who didn't know better
I had to learn how to get through each day.

The Waiting Game
But who will win?
I tried to stop it
They were my next of kin.

The Waiting Game
When will this game come to an end?
I have to stay patiend and learn how to defend.
