on this day, I cross my heart
pledge to you all my love
to put your hand in my hand
and as long as the stars shine above
I’ll make your dreams come true
and because you are everything I need
I promise from this moment
to stand by your side and never let you go
to be yours even in my silent memory

I vow to care and be true
when the wings of death scatter our days
to stand strong like the oak tree
when the night gets sticky and the sky so black
I promise to be flexible as the cypress
when life isn’t anything but a cold hard ride
and as we share our days on this earth
I’ll let the winds of heaven dance between us

I pledge with my heart
to be a moving sea of Love
a blessing between the shores of our souls
