The Void Poem by Waseem Sherif

The Void

Rating: 5.0

We’re left with nothing but the wreckage of the day
we tear down the walls and we no longer can pray
all the words we wrote are in bottles, in that bay
your eyes can't see me now, I can no longer stay

The whole story is void and I’m longing for a place
To burst out my colourless flames; and embrace
The shadow whom in his eyes I saw my face
Such a foolish man; I am! Such a helpless case!

I heard them say I am a puzzle can’t be solved
You heard them too or you may have been told
Words of betrayal facing the eternity – behold!
The majestic void of our life; the eternal cold
