The Visitor Poem by louis rams

The Visitor

It was a cold snowy night and no traffic was in sight
The weatherman said it would reach ten below and to
Expect more heavy snow.
Driving down that icy road and out of the darkness on my right
Came a tractor trailer with bright lights.
He did not see me because of the swirling snow and down
The embankment I did go.
The car would not start up again as I thought This was the end "
The temperature was dropping and I could not feel my feet
I needed warmth, I needed some heat.
Out of the darkness I heard a voice say; now is the time for you to pray.
I put my hands together and I begged GOD for a miracle.
Right there and then I heard a voice say are you alright, are you ok.
I saw your lights from the road above and thought you might need a hand
I have a tow truck and I can pull you out if this ditch and give you a boost.
He pulled me back on to the road and gave me a boost, as I was yet to see his face
The engine started up and began to race.
I got out of my car and there was no one in sight, no person no truck not even a light.
Who was this visitor? I wonder to this day - if he had not came
I would have never walked away.

Louis, this one gave me GOOSEBUMPS! If true, did this possibly take place near the I-4 Dead Zone? I saw a feature story of a young woman rescued there by a kind truck driver, and when she looked back to thank him, both he & his truck had vanished!

these are stories put in my mind, and I have to write them before they are forgotten
