The Vines Poem by Geoffrey Fafard

The Vines

Rating: 5.0

(Oh the vines the vines are everywhere)

Summer green toned by shadows of morning
Vibrant with new leaves
Growing from old trunks
Some hundreds of years in this soil
That sway in the young breeze
And share games with buzzing folk
All the time growing
Offspring fruit of the vine
Soon to be frizzy frothy
Ah the wine
Like the blood of Christ
The water of Moses
Will offer itself as life.
