The Urchin Poem by Amartya Banerjee

The Urchin

The urchin's cry,
Irritating and unkind,
Over the ballads,
It was confusing,
A sugary evening,
It was,
Before the urchin interfered,
The opera fumbled and stopped,
The pianists stopped their tune,
The urchin said,
'May I join you sirs? '
